We are Crispy Mountain, a team of young, motivated and ambitious software experts with various backgrounds.
We are headquartered in Mainz, Germany. Our team is distributed throughout Germany and Europe. We celebrate being a distributed company - the geographical location is not relevant to us.
Our main objective is to build and ship clean and stable applications, that solve real-world problems for our users. We are using tools, libraries and technologies where and when it makes sense. We don't use stuff just for the sake of using it. Productivity and reliability is key. We use tools that fit the task, and are not bound by ideologies.
We're currently building a sophisticated software platform for this industry to solve this problem. Our vision is to create a place where all print related processes world-wide run on a centralised industry platform. From designers and publishers to printers and machines to trucks and logistics – it's truly holistic.
All of this is backed by Heidelberg Druckmaschinen AG, the biggest print equipment manufacturer in the world, with more than 100 years of history. Heidelberg has recently acquired Crispy Mountain, in order to combine the excitement of a young and agile team with the knowledge and tradition of one of the oldest brands in print. Together we will tackle the incredibly exciting mission ahead.
Millions of printed products are produced every day - from flyers to books to packaging and more. Printing technology is one of the most important catalysts for personal, social and scientific progress. And it is one of the oldest crafts.
If you've ever heard the phrase "print is dead" - it's about as true as the rumors of the death of email and newsletters or the fairy tale of teleportation. But of course print shops have to optimize their processes to the maximum - and we are here to support them.
In the past 20 years, the software landscape and the processes surrounding the creation and manufacturing of printed products have hardly changed. The printers have been abandoned and have to deal with bad processes, bad UI/UX, lack of automation and repetitive, inhumane data entry tasks. These represent a major burden for many employees in the printing industry.
We want to change all of that.
